The Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo (ANP) is pleased to announce its successful participation in the Energy Council 2026 event, held in Singapore from 9th to 10th June 2026 at Pan Pacific hotel. The event brought together senior government officials, industry leaders, investors, and energy experts from around the world to discuss the future of the global energy sector and investment opportunities.
During the event, the ANP team consisting of Exploration and Development Department along with the Local content and Stakeholders Department actively engaged with international oil and gas companies, investors, and strategic stakeholders to promote Timor-Leste’s upstream petroleum sector and highlight the country’s commitment to fostering a stable, transparent, and competitive investment environment. In addition to that the ANP Management representatives such as the Executive Director of Exploration and Development Mr. Francelino A. X. Conceição participated in a series of high-level discussions, bilateral meetings, and networking sessions such as a Panel discussion with the theme “Pragmatic Energy Future” as well as presentation on “Timor-Leste Emerging Market Update”. Meanwhile, the ANP Vice President Mr. Quintine Pereira Bere delivered a welcoming remark during Timor-Leste Private Luncheon as well as being a guest of honour to give a present during Energy Council award dinner. This event provided a platform for ANP to share updates on Timor-Leste’s petroleum opportunities, regulatory framework, and ongoing efforts to attract responsible investment into the country’s energy sector.
In addition to that the ANP also hosted Timor-Leste Private Luncheon at the Energy Council 2026, which serves as an important podium to strengthen engagement between the Government of Timor-Leste, and a specific chosen industry leaders, investors, and strategic partners from across the global energy sector. Hosting this exclusive event underscores Timor-Leste’s commitment to fostering constructive dialogue, promoting investment opportunities, and showcasing the country’s significant energy potential. The luncheon also provides a valuable opportunity to present ongoing developments in the petroleum sector, highlight the government’s vision for sustainable resource development, and build confidence among existing and prospective investors.
Moreover, the ANP participation in Energy Council 2026 provided a valuable platform for ANP to strengthen relationships with existing industry partners while establishing new connections with potential investors and operators interested in exploring opportunities in Timor-Leste. Likewise, the ANP considers its involvement in the event a significant success, reinforcing Timor-Leste’s position as an emerging destination for energy investment and demonstrating the country’s continued commitment to developing its petroleum resources for the long-term benefit of the nation and its people.
